From 1993 to 2013: 20 years of Fitness First

Fitness First is one of the world's leading health and fitness groups with more than 380 clubs, and 7,000 employees, helping 1 million members around the globe to get fit, healthy and happy.

From a single club opening in the UK in 1993, Fitness First Group has expanded rapidly throughout the past 20 years and now own operations in a total of 10 countries throughout Asia, the UK, Australia, Germany and India, growth fuelled through a combination of existing businesses plus continued investment in new club openings.

Additionally, we have also franchised our brand and operating model in the Middle East, with our Franchise Partners currently operating 38 clubs in a further 6 countries, and we will continue to enhance our global footprint in the future.

Fitness First is owned by Oaktree Capital Management, a leading Global private equity house, following a secondary buy-out in September 2012.
